Gerry A. Stock

Chief Executive Officer/President

Gerry Stock owns Central Roofing Company® and serves as its Chief Executive Officer with principal oversight of the company’s accounting and production systems. Gerry’s professional and personal strengths define the character of Central Roofing Company as a whole: dependable, hard-working, collaborative, analytical and innovative.

Prior to her position at Central Roofing, she was part of the Production Department at Stock Roofing Company of Fridley, MN from 2003 to late 2010. From 1988 to 2003, Gerry was founder/owner and president of a mid-sized residential and commercial roofing and construction company. In addition to her experience in the roofing industry, Gerry’s entrepreneurial expertise includes general and commercial rental property management.

Gerry is a proud grandmother of five children. When she is not in the office, you will often find her spending time with her family.

Warren M. Stock

Chief Operating Officer/Senior Vice President

Warren Stock is the senior vice president of Central Roofing Company. As a vice president, Warren’s scope ranges from project development to oversight of daily operations to community outreach. Before coming to Central, Warren worked at Stock Roofing, an independent residential and commercial roofing and construction company, from 1988 to 2003 when it was sold to Tecta America, a large national roofing conglomerate. After the sale, Warren remained with Stock Roofing as president of the company until late 2010.

When Warren began his career in the roofing field over three decades ago, phrases like “green roof” meant only green-hued shingles, or maybe moss on a rooftop under a low-hanging tree. Like the industry, Warren has grown in expertise and vision. Today, Warren has established himself as a forward thinker and expert in all forms of commercial and residential roofing and building needs from traditional applications to environmental roof systems to natural disaster relief and historic renovations.

Warren’s other professional interests include trade education cooperatives and property management. In his spare time, he enjoys playing outside with his grandchildren, restoring vintage cars and travel.

Jason W. Stock

Vice President/Chief Financial Officer

Jason Stock is vice president and Chief Financial Officer of Central Roofing Company™. Jason’s expertise is multi-dimensional with responsibility in several departments—finance, accounting, technology, safety, and human resources. Prior to his work at Central, Jason spent 15 years assuming various roles within commercial and residential roofing services, most recently as vice president of Stock Roofing Company of Fridley, MN. Jason’s professional interests include commercial building project development, customer service, and innovative technology.

Jason is a graduate of Augsburg College in Minneapolis, MN with double majors in Accounting and Business Management. He has continued his education specific to the roofing industry by enrolling in the professional development program offered by the National Roofing Contractors Association (NCRA University) and will complete the program in February of 2012.

Jason is the father of two and enjoys spending his spare time with his family, restoring muscle cars and dabbling in home improvement projects.

Michael A. Mehring, MBA

Vice President of Commercial Sales

Mike Mehring is a service sales manager at Central Roofing Company. Mike’s expertise includes evaluating roofing and building envelope systems for the development and implementation of maintenance programs for extending and/or maintaining viable service life. Additionally, he has extensive involvement in project delivery systems, which includes the original estimating of the job, pre-construction planning and scheduling, project implementation, close-out, and post-project monitoring.

Mike has been successful by leveraging his 20 years of estimating, sales, design, and management of building envelope systems (which includes below grade waterproofing, air/vapor barriers, concrete and masonry restoration, sealants, and roofing). Mike received his Bachelor of Science in Management degree from Cardinal Stritch University in Milwaukee, WI and his Master of Business Administration, with a concentration in finance and corporate entrepreneurship, from the University of St. Thomas in St. Paul, MN. Additionally, for the past four years, Mike has served on the executive board for the Minnesota Chapter of the International Concrete Repair Institute.

As the father of a hockey and lacrosse player, Mike spends much of his free time at his son’s games, but he also pursues his own interests in music and exercise.

Lloyd Carr

Production Manager

Lloyd joined the Central Roofing Company team early in 2013. Lloyd is Production Manager with oversight of all Production projects including scheduling, daily operations, personnel, and trucking. As the hub of our entire Production team, Lloyd excels in the areas of communication and collaboration.

Lloyd began his work at Central Roofing Company ® as a Project Manager and Estimator for in our Service and Production Departments. In that role and in his current position, he drew from two decades of past work experience in sales, service work and large-scale commercial roofing and construction project coordination and gained a strong reputation for excellence in planning, follow-through, and customer service.

Outside the office, Lloyd enjoys restoring classic cars, snowmobiling with his family, and enjoying the outdoors while hunting and fishing.

Al Wagner

Sheet Metal Superintendent

In his 23 years at Central Roofing Company, Al Wagner has worn more than a few hats but HOW he wears them remains the same: dedicated, detailed, honest, approachable and solution-oriented. His own words best describe his professional approach: “Every project is personal for me, the work I leave behind is like my signature so it matters a lot to me that it’s done right. Working in this industry is never boring, every project offers new challenges and opportunities to draw on my experience and “make it work”. I enjoy being part of a team that works together, drawing on the experience of each member for a common goal; completing every job safely, efficiently, and with the highest quality workmanship.”

Prior to his current position, Al was both a Sheet Metal Journeyman and Sheet Metal Shop Foreman. He believes his education gave him the tools needed to make a difference in this field. He graduated from Dunwoody College of Technology, HVAC-Sheet Metal program. Then, after graduating he completed three additional years training in the Sheet Metal Workers Union training program. An expert on taking a “problem” and coming up with a solution, he draws on the past experiences on hundreds of sheet metal jobs and projects to figure out the best way to complete a project.

Outside of Central, you will find Al spending time with his family. His favorite activities are fishing, hunting, and spending time outdoors.

Josh Mattson

Service Superintendent

Josh Mattson excels in this field by every measure of the word. From the beginning as a Service Technician at Central Roofing Company in 2002, Josh’s capable leadership and technical expertise shined. Promoted to Superintendent on October 28, 2014, Josh continues to take pride in his supervision skills, the ability to communicate in a high-volume position and in particular, his skills “chasing leaks” in the field. In his words, his passion is “getting them the first time”; a personal motto he uses to model and motivate as a leader.

As Service Superintendent, Josh’s responsibilities include scheduling, logistical planning and project management, quality control, and customer service on a large scale. He oversees 26 service technicians in his department – 12 to 13 teams in the field spread out over an average of 25 projects in a single day.

Away from Central, Josh enjoys spending time with his young family — preferably involving a motorcycle (or anything else with a motor).

Corey Sias

Service Department Manager

Since taking over as manager of Central Roofing Company’s Service Department in early 2011, Corey Sias has seen his department expand exponentially. Corey credits the fast expansion and success of his department to his firm belief in respectful, detailed communication with the customer. Corey established a culture of collaboration and customer involvement in his department which resulted in greater efficiency on the part of Central Roofing technicians and increased client approval. The number of referrals to Central Roofing from property managers and homeowners are the testament to the effectiveness of this approach.

Corey began his career as a novice helper on the roofing crews of a mid-sized roofing and construction company in 1991. An instant stand-out among his colleagues, Corey quickly rose through the ranks to the superintendent by 2004 and a few years later, he moved into management. He carries the depth of experience and skills to assure excellence in a service project of any type, size or scale.

Corey and his wife have two children, a daughter in nursing and a son who enjoys basketball and baseball. In his spare time, Corey can be found four-wheeling, at the gun range or deer hunting.

Scott Kostka

Senior Estimator

After over forty years in the roofing and sheet metal industry, Scott Kostka will cheekily tell you he prefers the title, “Estimator Emeritus.” He has certainly earned that designation. Starting in 1974 as an apprentice roofer before advancing to Journeyman, Scott then spent three and a half years as an inspector for a roof consulting firm followed by nine years as superintendent for a major roofing and sheet metal contractor in Minneapolis. Since then, he has enjoyed twenty-four successful years in sales and estimating of roofing and sheet metal products, including nearly two years at Central Roofing Company where he also serves as a mentor and resource for the rest of the estimating team.

Scott is an expert in his field, with decades of experience with “The Edge,” a premier estimating system. Because of his work, all project estimation at Central Roofing Company instantaneously interfaces with our company inventory and accounting systems so bid proposals, scheduling, and costs are constantly balanced ensuring our projects remain on time, within budget, and according to specification.

Scott and his wife enjoy spending time with their daughter and friends. They are Disney® Parks season pass holders and avid fans. They travel to the Magic Kingdom® as often as possible and can share wonderful insider tips and off-the-beaten-path experiences.

Michael D. Olson

Estimator/Project Manager

Mike Olson has been an Estimator and Project Manager at Central Roofing Company for nearly 20 years. Since beginning his career in the roofing field nearly 40 years ago, Mike has earned a reputation for quality, consistency and problem resolution that could only be exceeded by his seemingly boundless knowledge of roofing types and structural design. In his years at Central Roofing Company and other large roofing and construction firms, Mike has developed a sales and project oversight style that is comprehensive and detail-oriented. He also worked for 14 years as a roof inspector and design draftsman preparing roofing project plans and specifications.

Mike’s portfolio of past projects includes public schools, universities, apartment buildings and a broad range of government and commercial sites including the Minneapolis/St. Paul International Airport, Mystic Lake Casino and the Minneapolis City Hall. His expertise spans green roofing, new construction, reroofing and specialty projects. Mike earned an A.S. in Architectural Technology from North Hennepin Community College in 1978 and attended the University of Minnesota’s School of Architecture.

In his free time, Mike enjoys spending time with his family and friends, bowling and playing golf.

Henri Germain

Estimator/Project Manager

As a project manager at Central Roofing Company, Henri Germain’s goal is to oversee each project to completion in an expeditious manner, while staying within budget, and upholding the company’s reputation for personalized service, high ethical standards, and quality construction. He has over 20 years of experience in leadership, activity coordination and guest services. Henri believes that “Word-of-Mouth” advertising is still the best form of “Thank You” he can receive.

Prior to his role at Central Roofing Company™, Henri gained experience in meeting clients’ expectations in a variety of industries from construction to a luxury cruise line. He has been published in construction-related topics on three different trade magazines.

Henri has traveled the world and now enjoys living in Minnesota with his wife and their three children.

Matt Drew

Service Sales Representative

Matt joined the Central Roofing Company team in 2012 as a Service Sales Representative. In that time, he has built a solid customer base that includes the State of Minnesota, the City of Minneapolis, and Minnesota School of Business, to name a few.

After graduating from Colgate University, Matt earned valuable sales experience in retail and cold calling, as well as technical inside and outside sales. He has experience and knowledge in several industries including roofing, concrete repair, general construction, paints and coatings, corrosion prevention, and chemical manufacturing.

When not at Central, Matt works as a paid-on-call firefighter and an EMT. He is also involved in a national and local non-profit board called the International Concrete Repair Institute. At home, Matt enjoys playing with his son and watching him learn new things. He and his wife spend evenings together walking the dog or relaxing in the backyard.

Matt Barlau

Production Sales Representative

Matt joined Central Roofing Company in 2013 and since then, has earned a reputation of excellence among his clients as well as our production team due to the success of a variety of commercial roofing projects including government work via our GSA certification. In addition, within our office, Matt has earned a reputation for philanthropy and company spirit in our charity ventures and projects. All in all, if there is a job at hand, Matt has demonstrated time and time again that he will be counted on to pursue excellence and to do so with heart.

Matt earned his degree in Architectural Drafting and Estimating from Dunwoody College of Technology prior to starting his career at Central. Through education, on-the-job mentoring by our sales and production staff, and now countless projects completed under his management, Matt has become a Central part of our team. His skills include great expertise in job estimating, problem-solving and acute knowledge of the workings of the entire building envelop.

Matt and his wife have two children, a daughter, and a son, under 2 years old. In his “spare” time, he enjoys outings with his family and the occasional nap.

Terry Aten

Service Sales Representative

Terry joined our Service Sales Department in 2014, coming to us with three decades experience with Service and Sales work in the Twin Cities market. He is exceptionally passionate about preventative maintenance and assisting customers working through warranty and emergency work. He is a great resource for property managers and commercial property owners because he is proactive, knowledgeable and connected.

Terry and his wife enjoy time together and are greatly anticipating grandchildren someday.

Jessica Tesdall

Communications Director

As Central Roofing Company has grown, so has Jessica’s role. Beginning in 2010 as a brand consultant, Jessica Tesdall worked with Central management to establish marketing priorities. Since then, the scope of her work has evolved to include all media including the company website, social media, TV, radio, print and electronic marketing as well as the creation and upkeep of internal company communications. Jessica also has responsibility for the development and fulfillment of Central’s charitable giving project, “Scrappin’ for Kids” as well as company event planning and training execution so to ask her, she will say her job “is the fun stuff”.

Jessica’s professional background is as varied as her responsibilities. She holds a Master’s Degree in Education and in that field has held both teaching and administrative positions at the K-12 level and adjunct positions at the collegiate level. At the same time, she utilized her Bachelor’s degrees in both Communications and English, along with creative and graphic design training and professional experiences, to contribute to successful campaigns in a variety of fields including construction, roofing, youth sports, politics and health and fitness.

Jessica enjoys the opportunity to work at Central Roofing Company with family, and with friends who have become family. She is blessed with three sons who fill up her free time, and her heart, every day.

John McPhillips

Business Development

John McPhillips joined Central Roofing Company in 2016 specializing in the area of Business Development. The breadth and depth of John’s experience in leadership positions in all aspects of the roofing industry provide him with a highly connected and knowledgeable base to do his work. Prior to this position, John served as president of McPhillips Bros. Roofing Co. and McPhillips’ Larson-Berry, Inc., both of Minnesota. He was also a former vice president of BOS Systems Roofing Company, located in Tampa, Florida. He is a former director and shareholder of RCI Insurance LTD., Roofers Mart of MN, Roof Depot Supply Mpls., and Key Wholesale Supply of Mason City, Iowa. John also completed journeyman roofer training via Roofers & Waterproofers Local 96 — twice!

In addition to roofing-related experiences, John is proud of his service in many other areas including the Gem Lake, Minnesota city council, the White Bear Lake North Campus PTO, the North Lakes District Boy Scouts of America, the White Bear Lake Optimists, the White Bear Lake Scholarship Foundation, the White Bear Lakes Optimists and the North St. Paul, Maplewood, Oakdale Rotary Club and SMARCA of MN, an industry safety organization. Last but certainly not least, John served in the U.S. Army, 101st Airborne Division in the Republic of Vietnam and is a proud service-related disabled veteran.

John McPhillips is married to Vickie Wallace McPhillips. Together, they reside in the Cardinal Pines area of Oakdale and enjoy their six children and five beautiful grandchildren.

John Wynkoop

Production Coordinator

It would be easier to create a list of the things John Wynkoop doesn’t do at Central Roofing Company then to capture his value to the company in only a few paragraphs. For the past five years, John has been the hub of our Production Department. In his role, John handles everything from our bid calendar, company licenses, and certifications, customer service, marketing assistance, technology training and maintenance, research and development, and more. John is the first to jump into a problem seeking solutions. He is organized, forward-thinking and a natural collaborator.

John honed all these skills and interests over the past 20 years while in a wealth of professional positions including five years at Stock Roofing Company of Fridley, Minnesota where he worked with Warren and Gerry Stock in much the same capacity he does now. Prior to that he achieved both Master Carpenter status as well as completed the Journeyman training in drywall where he worked as an estimator and finisher.

John and his wife enjoy spending time together and with family and friends. His interests include computers, cooking and spending time with their adopted pets.

Kambria Morris

Accounting Manager/Human Relations Manager

As Warren will say, “Kambria has the most important job in the whole company: she makes sure people get paid!” Yes, Warren, and so much more. In her position at Central Roofing Company since 2010, Kambria is responsible for much of daily operations. She is the point person for everything from hiring, benefits, insurance, and payroll as well as a key person in the shared coordination of accounts payable and accounts receivable. Her level of expertise in accounting, office management, computer programs, and technology has no peer.

Kambria is a high achiever and natural multi-tasker and her business personality are described as self-sufficient, dedicated, meticulous, detail oriented, and organized. These traits and her consistent good work in a wide range of essential roles, make her Central to our team.

Marian Holt

Accounting Assistant

Marian moved to Minnesota from British Columbia, Canada to be closer to her granddaughter. She likes to say that once she was always West Coast but now she is “Central!” And is she ever.

Marian Holt joined our team as Accounting Assistant in 2013 at a time of great company growth. She is credited with using her extensive accounts payable and accounts receivable background to foster positive changes to both our production and service accounting systems and keeps them running smoothly. She is capable and highly effective in her work and great fun to spend time with over lunch.

Marian holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration from Southern Oregon State University. Past accounting positions include experiences with several construction and service trades.

Married with two grown children, what Marian loves best is spending time with her granddaughter, Charlotte. She also enjoys the opportunity to eat out, shop and go to movies and museums as well as many hobbies including playing the piano, writing, sewing, travel and planning her next trip!
