Technologies and Compliance Efforts
Our ongoing efforts include several technologies and accessibility enhancements, many of which provide partial or complete coverage of WCAG 2.0 standards and recommendations. These efforts include (but are not limited to):
- Content hints and other embedded text or links are designed exclusively for screen readers and other assistive browsing technologies (e.g., a direct link to the start of the content area on the page).
- Alternate tags for relevant images or descriptive text to supplement pictures throughout the site.
- Schema / semantic vocabulary to help define components or sections across the site (for example, a navigation schema or form schema).
- Typography and colors with high levels of contrast, limited use of text on top of background images, dynamic font scaling, and larger font sizing and line height specifications.
- Layouts that allow for in-browser zooming and magnification.
Our accessibility efforts are ongoing and are regularly analyzed and refined to deliver a successful experience for our audience.

EEO Policy Statement from Gerry A. Stock, CEO/President of Central Roofing Company, originally drafted April 2011, reviewed and reaffirmed January 5, 2025, presented to and accepted by all project subcontractors of Central Roofing Company upon project award, given to and accepted by all employees of the company at Central Roofing Company’s mandated annual Safety Meeting.
In keeping with the mission of Central Roofing Company to be the premier roofing company in Minnesota and the Midwest, I also resolve it necessary to serve as a model and be especially committed to preventing, stopping, and remedying all forms of discrimination that may occur in working areas and/or project sites contracted by Central Roofing Company.
As a result, in addition to holding Central Roofing Company managers accountable for keeping our workplace free from discrimination and ensuring that we provide equal employment opportunities for all in our workforce or those seeking to become members of our workforce, each year, I issue an EEO Policy Statement intended for the information of our partners and subcontractors. This statement reminds all partners and subcontractors of their rights and responsibilities under the law and how to seek assistance if they believe they have been subjected to employment discrimination. Most importantly, it explains the expectations of Central Roofing Company’s management and of any person representing the company at our office sites, on the site of a contracted project, or at other work sites.
Central Roofing Company employees are protected by state and federal laws designed to protect employees from discrimination based on race, religion, color, sex (including pregnancy or gender identity), sexual orientation, parental status, national origin, age, disability, family medical history or genetic information, political affiliation, military service, or any other non-merit-based factor. These protections extend to all management practices and decisions, including recruitment and hiring practices, appraisal systems, promotions, and training and career development programs.
Central Roofing Company employees are also protected against retaliation. Consistent with state and federal laws, acts of retaliation against an employee who engages in a protected activity, whistleblowing, or the exercise of any appeal or grievance right provided by law will not be tolerated.
Central Roofing Company managers, supervisors, partners, and subcontractors are again reminded of their responsibility to prevent, document, and promptly correct harassing conduct in the workplace.
Any employee or subcontractor who feels that they have been subjected to one of these forms of discrimination or retaliation should contact their immediate supervisor or Central Roofing Company’s Human Resources Department or another Central Roofing Company manager who will then serve as an advocate and mandated reporter to Human Resources. Moreover, Central Roofing Company employees are urged to report acts of harassment to management as outlined in the company’s Harassment-Free Workplace Document, which is posted within the main office and each warehouse building at 4550 Main Street NE, Minneapolis, MN 55421, as well as online at centralroofing.com.
It is expected of every employee, partner, and subcontractor of Central Roofing Company to ensure that we stand as an exemplar of equity and inclusiveness for all other workplaces, inside and outside the roofing and construction industries.
